Arsenal enter the battle to sign 18-year-old Ligue 1 midfielder

The battle to sign Eduardo Camavinga keeps heating up, with the London giants the latest club to be linked with the midfielder. The Stade Rennais star is also being tailed by Real Madrid and Man United, among others.

France international has become one of the hottest properties in the world since making the grade in the Les Rennais first-team setup a couple of years ago, aged only 16. Since then, Eduardo has grown leaps and bounds, becoming a crucial player for the Ligue 1 club despite still being in his teens while also breaking into the Les Bleus team.

Suffice to say, Camavinga has been noticed by some of the biggest clubs in the world, who were also keen on signing him last summer before he stayed put at Roazhon Park. The ongoing season, though, has been a slow one for the Frenchman, but his stock has still not been affected, with the likes of Real Madrid, Man United and Arsenal, among others interested in him.

As iterated, the Gunners currently have two midfielders on loan from Real Madrid in Odegaard and Ceballos, but there are no guarantees that either can be signed permanently. Furthermore, Matteo Guendouzi is likely to be offloaded and has even been linked with a possible switch to Chelsea.

With that in mind, someone like Eduardo could come in handy at London club to provide contest to Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka. Recent reports, though, have suggested that Camavinga is keen on joining Real Madrid, but with Arsenal and Man United among others emerging as rivals, the pursuit of the midfielder has been complicated.
