Manchester United have reportedly held talks with the Lille defender Gabriel Magalhaes agent over a potential £27m move.
The 22-year-old Brazilian defender has been heavily tipped to make a switch to the Premier League this summer with Arsenal and Everton both keeping tabs on his signature.
The Red Devils are understood to have identified Gabriel as a possible defensive partner for Harry Maguire, and RMC Sport claims that they have now made preliminary talks with the Brazilian’s agents.
Lille are reportedly demanding a £27m fee for the Brazilian defender, who has played 34 games across all competitions this campaign.
United are not believed to have lodged a formal bid for Gabriel and are currently ahead of Arsenal in the race to get the deal done, however, have now held talks ahead of a possible summer approach.
In addition to PSG and Napoli are also reportedly interested in securing the services of Gabriel from Lille after they missed out on Champions League football.
Man Utd and Arsenal also eyeing a summer move for another Brazilian defender Diego Carlos who has been tipped to depart from Sevilla ahead of the next season and Premier League thought to be his next destination.
