The London giants have made a new proposal for centre-forward Dusan Vlahovic as Arsenal look to add the striker in the winter window. Arsenal have presented La Viola with an offer worth €70m with midfielder Lucas Torreira also included as part of the agreement.
Serie A giants are mulling over the bid and might sanction a permanent move for Serbia international. There could be significant movement at Emirates Stadium with regards to their centre-forward situation. Arsenal have a tricky problem at hand, which, if played right, could see a new frontman arriving and a few departing in winter.
Among those leaving the side could be Balogun, Aubameyang and Nketiah. Gabon international has been indefinitely axed from the side by the Spanish manager and is a possible target for Newcastle United this month. Meanwhile, the out of favour Balogun could move on loan with Middlesbrough, an option from the Championship.
A decision on Nketiah could also be made, considering he runs down his deal at Arsenal at the end of the campaign. Their primary target stays the Serbian striker, for whom Arsenal had made a few enquiries in the past month or so.
Despite reports emerging about Vlahovic’s reticence to sign for the Gunners, it does seem like Arsenal are at the forefront of a transfer deal. The Gunners have tabled a fresh proposal worth €70m for the centre-forward. Various reports confirm the same, with the deal possibly including midfielder Lucas Torreira who is valued at €15m.
