The London giants have made an official offer to add FCSB winger Ianis Stoica, according to the Romanian club’s owner. U21 Romania international has already registered six goals and two assists from 15 games in all tournaments so far this campaign, as FSCB sit second in the Liga I table.
Stoica, who can also play in central midfield, would fit the Gunners’ new transfer approach after all six of their summer signings were footballers under the age of 25. FSCB owner Gigi Becali has confirmed that Arsenal have made a bid for Ianis but added that he is holding out for more.
‘I currently have an offer of €7.5m for Ianis Stoica,’ Becali said before confirming that it was the Gunners that had made the bid. ‘And I want €10m plus 20% future transfer clause.’
Despite only playing a handful of professional games, the 18-year-old winger doesn’t look to be short of confidence, having compared himself to PSG and France forward Kylian Mbappe in a recent interview.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are also in the market for a centre-forward, with Lacazette looking likely to leave the club when his deal runs out in the summer.
Arsenal approached talented Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic but added that the footballer has no interest in joining the Gunners. ‘Arsenal are more than interested, they approached Fiorentina two weeks ago about the price and everything, but the player is not interested,’ he said.
