After being left out of Diego Simenon’s Europa League squad Arsenal are expected to miss out on the transfer of Atletico Madrid winger Yannick Carrasco.
According to the recent rumours, the Belgian attacking midfielder is on the verge of moving to the Chinese Super League club Dalian Yifang, notwithstanding the earlier connections with Premier League squads.
Carrasco has been shining in Atletico Madrid squad for a quite a long time but has never completely managed to establish himself as a regular first-team player due to a shortage of consistency in instability of his performance.
According to the Sun, 24-year-old has had some difficulties with team-mates at the Madrid club, and he now appears eager to move on to assure he’s continuously playing ahead of this summer’s World Cup.
According to the reports from Mundo Deportivo, last month Arsenal were ready to pay approximately £44million for the Belgian international, while there have also been additional reports verifying prior concern from Chelsea and Red Devils.
It’s still unclear if Carrasco can boost his game elsewhere and ultimately deserve another big move around Europe.
The gunners could’ve done with a winger similar to Carrasco on their books after the departure of both Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott in January.
