According to Paraguayan journalist Luís Enrique Pérez, the Gunners are interested in securing the services of Newcastle United forward Miguel Almiron, however, they face stiff competition from Serie A giants Inter Milan for his services.
The 26-year-old has been a regular in the Magpies’ starting XI since his arrival from Atlanta United back in January 2019 for a then club-record £21m, and he has since took part in 38 Premier League games for the Magpies.
The Gunners are looking to boost their attacking options this summer and their head-coach Mikel Arteta will be keen to add quality players to his team ahead of the next season in order to compete for all possible trophies next season.
Almiron has managed to found back of the net six times and assisted two others in 33 appearences across all competitions for Newcastle this season, and he definitely will do much better in front of goal in an attacking side like the North London club.
The Paraguay international has managed to found back of the net 13 times and registered 11 assists in 37 appearances for Atlanta back in 2018, and his struggles in a Newcastle side that does more of defending is understandable.
The North London club were linked with Almiron back in 2017, and it seems they are ready to renew interest in his signature once again when the summer transfer window will be re-opened.
