Arsenal on the brink of signing No.9 Premier League centre-forward

Man City centre-forward Gabriel Jesus has recently been linked with a summer move to Arsenal, and his agent has further fueled the rumours by claiming that the forward like the London giants’ project. The Gunners have improved by leaps and bounds this campaign under the Spanish manager after finishing eighth in the PL last campaign.

The Gunners are currently the favourites to finish fourth in the league table and secure UCL football for the next campaign. And for Mikel Arteta’s project to keep growing, a place in Europe’s premier club tournaments is of utmost importance, as it will allow them to sign their top targets.

Brazil international is one such footballer who would be an improvement on the current striking options that the Gunners have in Nketiah and Lacazette. Arsenal’s duo have their contracts expiring this summer, and they will be free to join any other club on a Bosman move.

With Aubameyang having already left the club this winter, signing a number nine is a top priority. Jesus is reportedly on top of their wishlist, and his agent’s comments will please the Gunners supporters. Gabriel’s agent also revealed that they have held discussions with the Gunners, and the centre-forward likes the project.

There have been reports claiming the Brazilian striker is open to the idea of joining the Gunners this summer. But the flip side is that Arsenal will have to beat six more clubs to sign the South American centre-forward.
