The London giants are interested in a move for Ivan Perisic with the Inter Milan winger running down his deal at the club. The Gunners had a wonderful summer transfer window wherein, under the guidance of the Spanish coach and technical director Edu Gaspar, Arsenal made several young additions.
All the six footballers that were brought in, have been integrated properly, with four becoming bonafide members of their starting lineup. Only Tavares and Sambi Lokonga have been bit-part footballers, although they have a long future at Arsenal given their young age.
The age group of those new additions signalled a massive change in the Gunners’ transfer policy. Earlier in Mikel Arteta’s reign and before that, during Unai Emery’s time, the Gunners signed experienced, ageing stars to add more balance to the squad.
However, Mikel Arteta has embarked on a massive squad rebuild, giving the club a young and vibrant look. Now, though, reports are pointing towards a potential move for Croatia international as a potential transfer target.
Perisic has been a crucial part of the Nerazzurri this term, and with his deal running out at the end of the campaign, many teams are lining up to add the forward.
The Gunners have been recently linked with many footballers from Serie A, including a wide attacker. Juventus winger Dejan Kulusevski has been touted as a transfer target, although there has been no progress made on that front as of yet.
