Arsenal poised to land €34m-rated powerful winger

Arsenal will prioritise bidding for Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser this summer as they prepare to decline a move for Yannick Carrasco, who has confirmed that he wants to leave Dalian Yifang after a one-and-a-half year spell in the Chinese Super League and the Gunners have been linked with the 25-year-old.

Chinese side are willing to part with Yannick Carrasco for a fee of around £25 million and the Belgium international remains on Arsenal’s radar, but Unai Emery seemingly prefers a player closer to home.

Ryan Fraser is significantly higher than Yannick Carrasco on the Gunners’ shortlist of targets after an outstanding campaign in the Premier League.

Ryan Fraser netted seven goals for mid-table Cherries the last season, and only Eden Hazard finished the season with more assists (15) than the former Aberdeen man (14).

The Scott, tied into a contract at Dean Court until 2020, is rated at around £30 million by his club but Unai Emery only has around £40 million to spend on reinforcements after the failure to qualify for the next season’s Champions League, and the Spanish manager is looking to sign a top-class centre-back as well as a winger.

Despite Arsenal’s interest, Ryan Fraser expects to be a Bournemouth player when the 2019/20 season starts.

‘The likelihood is I will be at Bournemouth for another year,’ Fraser said. ‘And what will happen, will happen. ‘That is all I can really say about it. No one has really spoken to me about it.’
