Arsenal started negotiations with 17-year-old Turkish attacker

Arsenal are in the market for Arda Guler. The playmaker currently plies his trade for Fenerbahce and has made a lot of waves in Turkey with his displays in the top flight. It has led to links with a move elsewhere, with the Gunners among the teams interested in his services.

The report even goes on to suggest Arsenal are weighing up an official proposal for U17 Turkey international. The Spanish manager is well aware of Guler’s potential and wants to bring him to Arsenal at any cost. There is a belief Arda could cost a fortune, though, with the report quoting a fee of around £25m.

A native of the capital city of Ankara, the 17-year-old playmaker had been a part of the Fenerbahce youth setup since 2019. The Turkish playmaker has steadily made his way up the ranks and was notably rewarded with a promotion to the senior team last summer, in light of his blazing displays in the youth tournaments.

Bagging a wealth of promise and potential, Guler did not disappoint either. In his maiden professional campaign, Arda racked up 16 competitive matches, scoring three goals while chipping in with five assists.

Boasting footballers such as Odegaard, Saka and Smith Rowe, Arsenal have no shortage of talented attackers in the final third. But Mikel Arteta is keen on further enhancing his ranks by adding Arda to the equation.
