The battle to add Karim Adeyemi is about to hot up, with the London giants emerging as the latest team to be interested in a move for the RB Salzburg striker.
However, it appears the PL giants might need to be patient with their approach, with the Austrian club president hinting that Germany international is not expected to move on until the end of the campaign. Formerly of Unterhaching youth academy, Karim is widely regarded as one of the most talented teenagers in Europe.
Adeyemi has enjoyed swift growth in recent years with the Austrian club, having notched up 73 competitive games, scoring 25 goals. Eleven of his goals have come in the ongoing season, with many even regarding him as the future face of the Germany front-line.
However, what makes the 19-year-old attacker such a sought-after asset in the market is that the centre-forward is much more than just a striker. Although a number nine by trade, the German striker can operate on the flanks if required and even in a withdrawn role.
The tactical versatility he offers has already appealed to a host of teams around Europe, including Barcelona. Their manager Xavi is hopeful of completing a summer swoop for the teenager.
From a tactical perspective, Adeyemi’s possible arrival at Emirates Stadium could make a world of sense. Due to his versatility, pace and technical skill, Karim can prove to be an ideal strike partner for Aubameyang.
