Arsenal to revive interest in 21-year-old skilled winger

Arsenal have been linked with a move for their Europa League rivals Rennes’ attacker Ismaila Sarr, who stood out with his outstanding performance against the Gunners.

The Premier League giants were linked with a swoop for the skilful winger several times before the January transfer window.

Arsenal were in the market in January only for loan signings due to lack of funds, and they could not strike a deal for the the 21-year-old, but any doubts that the English side might have had regarding Ismaila Sarr’s talent should now be removed.

The top-four chasers have shown plenty of promise in their first season under Unai Emery, but an overhaul of the squad is required if they are to start challenging for silverware.

While they need to make radical changes at the back, right-wing is an area which is in desperate need of some investment.

Both Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Mesut Ozil have struggled for consistency, and it is high time for Arsenal to sell some of their underperforming stars to promote the arrival of fresh faces.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles has done well occasionally playing out wide on the right, but the club needs an explosive winger with an eye for goal.

Ismaila Sarr, with his blistering pace, quality and sharpness on the ball, agility, acceleration and goal-scoring ability, should be a perfect signing for Arsenal.

Senegalese winger excels with his silky dribbling skills and quick changes of direction, drawing fouls and creating chances with accurate balls into the box.
