Arsenal head-coach Arsene Wenger has rubbished rumours over Arsenal superstar Mesut Ozil has agreed to terms with the Barcelona over January move.
German playmakers current deal at the Emirates stadium set to expire at the end of the current campaign and the former Real Madrid star is no closer to sign a contract extension.
The Red Devils head-coach boss Jose Mourinho has expressed interest in German player who has been identified as an alternative to Philippe Coutinho by Barcelona.
When asked whether German midfielder had agreed to terms with the Catalan giants, Wenger said: ‘No. What kind of control can I have over that [speculation]?
‘All these people have agents who can talk to anybody. That doesn’t disturb people, that happens all through their career.
‘I have no concerns [about their commitment]. I am more concerned about the team performance. Ozil and Alexis are praised when the team is doing well because of them, and when the team doesn’t do well they get more criticism.”
Ozil has been on of the key players for Arsenal, and they will do their best to tie him down at Emirates Stadium with a new deal, but if they fail to reach an agreement with Ozil, the Gunner prefer to sell to him abroad rather helping Manchester United to strengthen their midfield options.
