Spanish giants Barcelona could switch their attention from Philippe Coutinho to Tottenham Hotspur playmaker Christian Eriksen after Danish playmakers impressive displays against Real Madrid in the Champions League group stage.
The 25-year-old playmakers was in stunning form for Tottenham Hotspur as Zinedine Zidane’s side were held to a 1-1 draw the Champions League group stage.
The La Liga giants have tried to sign Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho during the summer transfer window with the Brazilian midfielder handed in a transfer request to force a switch to Nou Camp.
However, Jurgen Klopp rejected a big-money offer for his signature and blocked his switch to Barcelona.
Now Don Balon claimd that Barcelona head-coach Ernesto Valverde could look at Eriksen as a perfect alternative for Coutinho.
The Danish midfielder has been in stunning form this term, founding the net for three times and providing four assists in the process.
The reports claim Barca’s technical secretary, Robert Fernandez was in Madrid and kept a close eye on Eriksen who has played excellent against the Los Blancos.
And Eriksen is now believed to be on top of Jurgen Klopp’s wishlist.
Barca are looking for a midfielder following Neymar’s departure last season, and they will try to sign Eriksen or Philippe Coutinho next summer.
