Bayern Munich rule out exit of 32-year-old forward amid Chelsea transfer links

Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer has claimed that Robert Lewandowski will remain at Allianz Arena for at least the next two years, ending the rumours surrounding a possible summer move to Premier League..

The Poland international has been heavily linked with a switch to Chelsea, with the West London giants seemingly identifying the experienced forward as an alternative to Erling Braut Haaland who appears to be a top transfer target for Thomas Tuchel.

However, Hainer has claimed that the Polan international will honour his contract” at Allianz Arena, and the former Dortmund striker could even spend longer with the club.

“Firstly, in my opinion, Lewandowski is best striker in the world. We are so happy that we have him in our team. He still has two more years on his contract,” Hainer told Goal.

“He will definitely play those with Bayern Munich. I said it already a few weeks ago – I could imagine him staying with us for even longer. He will honour his contract. He will definitely play the next two seasons here in Bayern Munich.”

Lewandowski has managed to found back of the net 48 times in 40 games for Bayern Munich during the 2020-21 season, while he has found back of the net 294 times in 329 appearences for the club since arriving from their bitter rivals Borussia Dortmund in July 2014.
