Bryan Robson is an admirer of Jack Grealish and admitted he’d be keen to see the Aston Villa winger at Man United. Robson thinks England international has matured since taking the captain’s armband at Aston Villa and hailed his form this campaign as ‘terrific’.
Jack is expected to be back in action for Villa’s match against Man City on Wednesday night, their first game since a covid outbreak among their squad. Grealish has scored five goals and provided seven assists in the PL this campaign and been one of the division’s top performers.
And Robson, the ex-Red Devils captain, admitted he’d like to see him in a Man United shirt, although he’s not sure if he’s in the plans of the Norwegian manager and his coaching staff. ‘He’s a player for Aston Villa and England who has only improved.’
I don’t want to say too much about other teams’ players but of course, he’s a player we know we have to look for,’ Bryan said. ‘It was a good decision giving him the Aston Villa captaincy. I think it’s made him a bit more mature. He’s a powerful player.’
‘He’s quite a strong boy and he’s quick and the way he can sort of go either way past people he’s always going to be a danger and that’s why he gets so many free-kicks. He and Villa have been terrific this season.’
‘He’s been linked with us but those decisions, thank goodness, are with Ole and the board of directors. I wouldn’t mind seeing Jack Grealish in a Man United shirt.’
