Bundesliga giants in the hunt to sign £100,000-a-week Man United shot-stopper

Borussia Dortmund are keeping tabs on Dean Henderson, who is unhappy with his current role at Man United. The Red Devils goalkeeper is facing an uncertain future at Theatre of Dreams as he is unhappy with his current role at the club.

Although Henderson is in favour of remaining in Manchester, he is frustrated with the lack of playing chances. The Black and Yellows are chasing a new goalkeeper this summer as they look to move on from Roman Burki. Although the Swiss has done a good job at Westfalenstadion, there has been a lack of consistency in his displays.

In addition, second choice ‘keeper Marwin Hitz is yet to really convince the supporters, in terms of reliability. The 33-year-old’s contract in Bundesliga giants also expires at the end of the season, ideally paving the way for Dean to come in and compete with Burki.

He could also play alongside his compatriot Jude Bellingham and possibly, Jadon Sancho, although Man United are determined to sign him in the summer.

Speaking of Man United, they have had a bit of a dilemma in the goalkeeping department. Although the club is well aware of the English goalkeeper’s talents, it has become seemingly difficult for them to embrace the shot-stopper, at the expense of David de Gea, who has undeniable quality despite his occasional lack of consistency.

However, it won’t be surprising to see if Man United does offload de Gea in the near future, as the Spaniard’s staggering wages of almost £400k a week does, to an extent, cripple the club’s financial powers in the market.
