Chelsea consider selling Brazilian winger Kenedy in the summer transfer window unless his form improves during his loan spell at Newcastle.
The versatile winger had a very impressive spell with the Magpies during the second half of the last campaign, but he has failed to replicate that form during the current season after agreeing to spend the entire campaign on loan at St James’ Park.
Although he has featured in 20 league games for Rafa Benitez this season, the 23-year-old has mainly found himself on the bench in recent weeks and has done little to force his head coach’s hand in terms of selecting him to start more often.
Chelsea understand that the futures of some of their current attackers, such as Eden Hazard, Pedro, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Willian are uncertain and as such, they would be hoping to see the South American develop further so he can step into their shoes if one leaves the club.
However, it seems like the Fa Cup holders are not holding their breath and they could sell the Brazil international in the next transfer window if he fails to kick on at Rafa Benitez’s side.
Meanwhile, Barcelona are closing in on a deal to sign the Blues transfer target Luka Jovic.
The forward has been in impressive form for Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt this season and attracted the attention of several clubs with some clinical displays.
Chelsea, have tracked the Serbian winger this season, while German champions Bayern Munich have also kept a close eye on his progress.
