Kenedy is coming to the end of his second loan spell at Newcastle United from Chelsea.
The Magpies are set to send Kenedy back to Stamford Bridge when his loan contract expires at the end of the campaign on the lookout for replacements, as the Chronicle has reported.
The Brazilian initially moved to St James’ Park on a short-term deal in the second half of the 2017/18 campaign and he made a big difference, adding creativity and speed out wide as Rafa Benitez’s men pulled clear of the relegation zone.
But the youngster has failed to maintain those standards during the recent season. He has just one goal and one assist in the English top-flight this term and was left out of the squad for the home loss to Crystal Palace.
As a result, the Chronicle suggests that Newcastle United are scouring the market for wingers and have opted that they will not offer Chelsea a deal to sign the Brazilian permanently.
The FA Cup holders valued the 23-year-old at £30 million a year ago, but his price-tag has surely fallen some way since then.
The report adds that the Magpies could change their mind, however, if the Premier League giants decide to accept a drastically reduced fee for a player who has just 12 months left on his contract at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea will try to sell the wideman and will probably demand in the region of £15 million as the Blues are preparing for the transfer window when the ban will be lifted.
