Chelsea have reportedly jumped ahead of Tottenham in the race to secure services of Feyenoord talented midfielder Lamare Bogarde.
The 16-year-old, who is capable to play in the heart of the defensive midfield or as a centre-back, is believed to be attracting the interest of a number of top European teams ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.
The Spurs are supposedly one of the teams to have taken a liking to Bogarde, however, according to Football Insider, the Blues are confident that they have leapfrogged their London rivals in the race to lure the talented midfielder in the Premier League.
The West London club will reportedly face stiff competition for the midfielder’s services, however, as Schalke 04, Juventus, AC Milan and Arsenal are all believed to be keeping close tabs on his progress.
Bogarde has managed to found back of the net once and provided one assist from seven games in the Under-17 Eredivisie before play was brought to an abrupt end amid the coronavirus pandemic that has been spread all around the world.
Another Feynoord star Orkun Kökçü has been also rumoured with a switch to the Premier League with Arsenal thought to be his favoured destination.
