Tammy Abraham is unwilling to discuss a new deal with the London giants while the club continue to be linked with a move for Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland. The 20-year-old centre-forward’s agent Mino Raiola revealed that there are four PL teams who could compete for the striker’s signature.
Man United attempted to sign Erling before his move to Borussia Dortmund with Man City and Chelsea now credited with keen interest. Reports have suggested Thomas Tuchel has made Erling a top target ahead of the summer transfer window but that interest could have an impact on contract extension negotiations with Abraham.
The academy graduate is Chelsea’s top scorer this campaign with 12 goals but has often been rotated out of the side by Thomas Tuchel who has substituted him at half-time in both of his two league starts since the German’s arrival at the club. Olivier Giroud was also preferred to lead the line against Atletico Madrid on Tuesday night.
Tammy is not interested in entering into contract extension negotiations while Haaland’s arrival at the London club stays a possibility given the doubts it would raise over his first-team chances. The 22-year-old centre-forward has two years left on his current contract with the club.
Mino Raiola meanwhile says up to 10 teams are in the running to sign Erling, who has a release clause of £68m that becomes active in the summer of 2022. Borussia Dortmund could sell him earlier however and recoup a bigger fee with the club currently scrapping to qualify for next campaign’s UCL.
