Chelsea keep a close eye on €35m-rated Bundesliga midfielder

Chelsea and Man United could reportedly be in luck in the Jude Bellingham transfer saga at last. The Borussia Dortmund wonderkid was heavily linked with both teams during his time at Birmingham City, though he opted to make the move to Germany last summer.

Blues and Red Devils have continued to be linked with England international since then, however, and it now seems like Bundesliga giants financial issues mean they could be forced to cash in on him this summer. This news will be a boost for both Chelsea and Man United.

Jude seems like a hugely promising talent with a big future in the game, and it’s easy to see how Theatre of Dreams or Stamford Bridge could be tempting options for him. Both teams have a number of talented teenagers coming through at the moment, so could be ideal for Bellingham to continue his development.

The 17-year-old midfielder has done well at Borussia Dortmund so far, but it looks like the footballer’s remain in the Bundesliga could be a short one. Thiago Silva has offered them short-term refuge, but with the crux of Blues squad being young, Upamecano would fit right in as they look to build a squad for the future.

Blues, for one, have once again shown a lot of intent in the market. Chelsea are one of the clubs linked with a move for Alaba but could find Varane a more appealing option due to his leadership qualities. It could be useful for the newly appointed Thomas Tuchel as he looks to find a long-term replacement for the ageing Thiago Silva.
