Chelsea have reportedly identified Porto’s winger Jesus Corona as a cheaper alternative to Jadon Sancho.
The 27-year-old player who is capable of playing as a wide midfielder or full-back, has managed to found back of the net twice while providing 17 assists across all competitions during impressive 2019-20 season with the Primeira Liga outfit.
Chelsea head-coach Frank Lampard is supposedly still keen on a deal for Dortmund’s forward, Jadon Sancho, however, Manchester United are believed to be in pole position for the 20-year-old’s services.
As a result, the West London club are eyeing up other options ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window, and according to the Daily Star, the 20-year-old midfielder is firmly on Frank Lampard’s radar.
The report claims that the 27-year-old midfielder could be available as little as £26m, and the West London club are likely to be in the market for the forward with Pedro and Willian both expected to depart Stamford Bridge.
Corona has managed to found back of the net 26 times in 211 games for Porto since 2015, and the Mexico international’s current contract with the Portuguese giants will run until 2022.
Chelsea also keeping tabs on another Porto star Alex Telles who has bee tipped to depart from the Portuguese giants ahead of the 2020/21 season.
