Chelsea ready to launch £36m offer to sign in-form No.11 attacker

According to reports, Chelsea and Manchester United are involved in a move for FC Porto forward Moussa Marega, who has been getting rave reviews for his introductions lately.

Both clubs are understood to have enquired his availability, and it will be interesting to see which of these powerhouse sides end up signing him.

There is some room for an attacker at Stamford Bridge as well as at Old Trafford, and Marega does seem like a great option.

Estimated to be valued at  £36m, he sounds like an economical option. With that in mind, let’s take a closer look at the player’s profile.

Porto signed him in 2016 on a contract lasting until 2020.

After making a string of appearances as a substitute, Marega was loaned to Vitoria S.C.

His goalscoring exploits for Vitoria were quite extraordinary, and the player returned to Porto at the beginning of the ongoing season.

He has been remarkable ever since and has scored 15 goals and three assists in 19 league appearances this term.

At Chelsea, Antonio Conte is keen on bolstering his options and does not seem to trust Alvaro Morata much, thus making a move for Marega seem highly likely.

Similarly, at United, Jose Mourinho is in dire need of strengthening his attacking options.
