Krzysztof Piatek is likely to depart AC Milan in the January transfer window if Zlatan Ibrahimovic achieves a return to the club, a report claims.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is AC Milan’s main target for the winter transfer window, as owners Elliott Management have recognised the need to add firepower, leadership and experience in one swoop.
A return doesn’t look impossible either, as SportMediaset (via MilanNews.it) recently stated that AC Milan are closing in on satisfying his requests, while il Corriere Della Sera reported that the dream is to present Zlatan on December 15 at the club’s 120th birthday event.
According to Sunday’s edition of newspaper il Corriere Della Sera – as cited by Calciomercato.com – Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s arrival would mean that Krzysztof Piatek is ‘destined’ to leave in the upcoming window.
The Poland international striker has scored just once from open play all season, and Claudio Raimondi recently told SportMediaset (via MilanNews.it) that Everton or Chelsea is his most likely destination.
Krzysztof Piatek joined AC Milan from Genoa in the January window for €35m (as per the Guardian) after he netted 12 goals before Christmas for the Rossoblu following his arrival from Poland.
