Chelsea are preparing an offer for Real Madrid centre-back Eder Militao. Chelsea are in the market for a centre-back and are exploring every potential option before making an official move. The Blues have lost Rudiger to Real Madrid while Christensen is on the verge of a Barcelona move.
The German manager could lose other centre-backs as well with Azpilicueta and Alonso both entering the final years of their respective deals. Thus, adding defensive reinforcements is on top of the Blues’ priority list this summer, but they are yet to get a deal through the line.
Chelsea are reportedly favourites to add Jules Kounde from Sevilla, who was close to moving to the London club last summer, only for the Spanish giants to increase their demands at the last minute. But the Blues aren’t alone in Jules Kounde’s pursuit, with Xavi making the French defender his priority summer signing along with Lewandowski.
The Catalan giants will need to offload a few footballers before registering new additions, thus, the Blues could be considered favourites for the Frenchman’s signature. If the Blues do manage to convince Los Blancos to part ways with Eder Militao, it will make their Jules Kounde pursuit quite complicated.
As per the report, Los Blancos could move in for Jules Kounde should they sell one of their first-choice centre-backs, increasing competition for the Blues as a result. Nevertheless, the Blues have set sights on another La Liga defender, with Real Madrid defender Eder Militao popping up as a target.
