Solskjaer has now indicated that the Red Devils priority in the January transfer window is to strengthen his offensive end with a new forward.

Former Croatia international forward was reportedly close to making switch to Old Trafford in the summer as part of the deal which would also have seen South American superstar Paulo Dybala make the move to the 20-times English champions.

The report also suggested that Serie A giants will make a fresh move to secure the services of Paul Pogba and are willing to offer Croatian forward to the Red Devils as part of their bid.

Mandzukic, meanwhile, has rejected a move to Qatar-based side Al-Rayyan, who reportedly offered him huge £7m per year salary. however, experienced forward is believed to be keen on to play on top level one more year before making a big-money switch to Qatar or China.
