Arsenal have joined league rivals Tottenham and Manchester City in the transfer race to land Dani Alves, reports say.
The Brazilian defender is on the lookout for a new club after confirming he would not be returning to Paris Saint-Germain next campaign.
Dani is fresh off yet another title-winning campaign and lifted the Copa America with his country during the summer.
Mundo Deportivo report City, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are all battling to land Alves, with Pep Guardiola eager to reunite with his one-time player.
But Guardiola isn’t the only manager who thinks the 36-year-old star would flourish in the Premier League.
Manager Unai Emery has asked Gunners to make an offer to Alves, while Tottenham Hotspur have already been in contact with the South American’s team.
Alves has won league titles in Italy, France and Spain and is keen to stay in Europe, rather than return to his homeland.
Unai is desperate to add experience and leaders to his team after a season plagued by individual inconsistency and errors.
Arsenal have just £45m to spend this summer and Dani represents a potentially cheap option for Arsenal.
While Alves would arrive on a free transfer and land a short-term contract, the Gunners would have to agree to a hefty weekly salary. Dani reportedly earned over £200,000 per week at Paris Saint-Germain.
The full-back has been connected with a move to England before and seemingly has the pick of the top EPL clubs this summer transfer window.
