Carlo Ancelotti has earmarked Blues centre-back Kurt Zouma as a target as Toffees seems to boost their defensive ranks this summer. Everton are now eyeing Zouma after moves for other targets looked unlikely, it’s added that Foxes are also keen on France international.
Kurt, who is contracted until 2023, spent last season on loan with the Toffees. Zouma played 36 games for the Merseyside club, with BBC Sport reporting that they wanted to sign the defender permanently.
Chelsea value the 25-year-old centre-back at €30m, which seems fairly steep, but the west London outfit have a knack for getting more than many would’ve bargained for when it comes to sales.
The French centre-back has returned from his spell in Everton to play an important role for Frank Lampard’s side, with the defender making 34 appearances this campaign.
Kurt has looked pretty decent during the season, he’s matured from the raw talent that arrived from Saint-Etienne some years ago, the ace always gives it his all and is very physical.
The defender’s large frame and brilliant strength, accompanied by his growing understanding of defending, make Kurt an ideal option for Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
Toffees only have three senior centre-back options right now with Michael Keane, Mason Holgate and Yerry Mina, Kurt would be a great signing to these ranks.
