German club enter the race for €25m-rated Liverpool midfielder

Borussia Dortmund are reportedly lining up a move for Liverpool player Naby Keita as they prepare for life without Jude Bellingham. Edin Terzic currently has several options in the centre of the pitch. Can, Ozcan, Dahoud, Giovanni Reyna and Bellingham are all contenders to start for the Bundesliga giants.

Jude is one of the first names on the team sheet with seven Bundesliga starts from seven matches this campaign. But the interest in Bellingham is growing by the day and the German club face a battle to keep the footballer in 2023.

A report has claimed Borussia Dortmund could be prepared to accept an offer of nearly £83m, providing the fee is paid up-front. That will produce a feeding frenzy of interest and the Bundesliga giants’ officials are already looking for a replacement.

That replacement could be Guinea international. Dortmund are watching Naby’s deal situation and are preparing to make a move for the footballer. The report claims the Bundesliga club are “hot for” Keita. The 27-year-old midfielder is out of the deal next June and the German giants want the footballer on a free transfer for the start of 2023-24.

Deal negotiations between the Guinean and Liverpool have been going on since the start of the year. Talks are still ongoing, but there has been “a lot of interest around him”. There have been no official bids for the Guinean player, but there is understandable given his contractual situation.
