The London giants defender Sead Kolasinac could reportedly be set for a winter transfer window move to Roma. Discussions via an intermediary already seem to have begun over Bosnia international possibly swapping Arsenal for Roma this winter.
Sead has not been a regular at London club for some time now and many supporters might have expected to see him move on during the summer, though he ended up staying put. Still, it looks moves are already being made for Kolasinac to get his escape from Arsenal when the next transfer window opens.
Giallorossi could be a good move for the 27-year-old defender as it would allow him to continue playing at a high level, but perhaps with more first-team chances than he’s enjoyed with Arsenal.
The Bosnian left-back looked a promising signing when he first joined the London club from Schalke back in 2017, but he’s just not been able to reproduce his best form in a red and white shirt.
Sead has been linked with the Giallorossi before but they may be willing to strike a deal when the transfer window reopens due to how thinly spread they are on the left side of their back-line.
Although Roma already have Leonardo Spinazzola who can play a similar role, cover in the position is only provided by Riccardo Calafiori, who made his senior debut back in August. The report claims that Giallorossi would rather have an experienced footballer to provide competition especially given Spinazzola’s tendency to pick up injuries.
