Jurgen Klopp is lining up a January move for Charlton Athletic defender Ezri Konsa, according to the Mirror reports.
Liverpool will need to battle their bitter Premier League rivals Everton for the 19-year-old defender as the Merseyside Blues are also keen to continue their strategy of buying talented youngsters.
The talented youngster has been at Charlton since he was a schoolboy and the Addicks will be keen to keep hold of him. However, it’s looking more and more likely that defender is likely to leave the club.
The 19-year-old defender was part of England Under-20s’ World Cup-winning squad, alongside with Liverpool summer signing Domenic Solanke.
The Merseyside Reds have signed Joe Gomez from Charlton Athletic and it looks like they are planning to bring in another promising youngster to Anfield.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are planning to sell highly-rated youngster Lloyd Jones when the transfer window reopens in the winter.
The 21-year-old defender has been with the Reds since 2011 after joined the club from Plymouth Argyle.
The England U-20 international centre-back has had loan spells at Accrington Stanley, Cheltenham Town, Swindon Town and Blackpool, however, now it seems that he could be on his way out from Anfield to secure regular first-team football elsewhere.
