Jurgen Klopp preparing two massive deals in summer transfer window

According to BBC Sport’s David Ornstein, Jurgen Klopp will look to make only two transfer deals this summer.

Liverpool spent £163 million last summer, months after they made Virgil van Dijk the most expensive centre-back in the world.

Brazilian duo Alisson and Fabinho alongside relegated Xherdan Shari, and Bundesliga ace Naby Keita all completed moves to Anfield before the season started.

But David Ornstein thinks that Jurgen Klopp will look for one, at a maximum two, players to sign this summer.

“It will be a very settled summer for them, consolidation seems to be the name of the game, they’ve stockpiled well.

“They’re looking at one or a maximum of two signings unless there’s an injury or a player that wants out like Philippe Coutinho.”

Ornstein then went on to state that there were two positions that Klopp was looking to strengthen and they depended on outgoings in those slots.

Alberto Moreno and Nathaniel Clyne leaving Liverpool will have to cover left-back position.

Liverpool also want a striker to replace Daniel Sturridge as he leaves, but Rhian Brewster and Divock Origi are in the pecking order at Merseyside to replace Roberto Firmino if he is injured or tired.

Divock Origi has been offered a new deal after his Champions League heroics against Barcelona an Anfield while Nathaniel Clyne is likely to leave and could stay with current side Bournemouth as the defender has fit perfectly to the Cherries.
