Real Madrid and Barcelona have expressed interest in signing Man United playmaker Bruno Fernandes, according to reports. The 26-year-old midfielder just joined the Red Devils last January but has already developed into one of the Norwegian manager’s most important footballers.
Bruno was fantastic in the second half of the 2019-20 season, helping Man United climb to third in the PL and reach the semi-finals of the UEL. Fernandes’ form has attracted attention from Real Madrid and Barcelona and the La Liga giants will both consider launching moves
While Portugal international has impressed in Man United, recent reports suggest the former Sporting Lisbon star is privately questioning coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The Portuguese playmaker was even said to be ‘unhappy’ at Man United only eight months after arriving through the doors, although both he and Ole have dismissed the reports.
Speaking at his pre-Newcastle United press conference, the Norwegian manager said: ‘Bruno is clearly not happy with the stories but welcome to Man United, this is what happens. They are going to try to create a division between us but it’s not going to happen.’
However, Bruno is believed to have been ‘angry’ at being subbed off during Red Devils recent embarrassing defeat to Tottenham.
Responding to rumours he had a ‘bust-up’ with his team-mates at Old Trafford and coach Solskjaer, Bruno said: ‘I’m only thankful for the manager because he was the one who wanted me and believed in me. The tactics he uses are perfect for me. I believe it is a way to destabilise the group.’
