Ligue 1 giants started talks with €60m-rated Man United winger

PSG are serious about signing Marcus Rashford and are prepared to offer a long-term deal to add him. Man United are not looking forward to selling their academy graduate, but the Parisians believe their positive negotiations with the 24-year-old winger may have a different effect.

England international has been scrutinised for his displays in the last 12 months. Since the Euros concluded, the English winger has come back from surgery and not performed to the expected levels. Supporters have been left disgruntled by the dip in form the Englishman has displayed.

Marcus has a year left on his deal, but the Red Devils hold the option of extending it further by another campaign. In short, if Man United wanted, they could keep him at Theatre of Dreams until 2024. However, Rashford has recently attracted a lot of interest from the Parisians, with the Ligue 1 champions’ intentions considered serious.

To put PSG off their pursuit, Man United reportedly slapped a £120m price tag on Marcus, which was double the Parisians’ valuation of the footballer. Man United fans will be dreading a sale, as they believe in Marcus, who has been tremendous for them over the years.

While it looks ambitious on paper, Marcus could consider the possibility of leaving the PL to join the Parisians amidst his ongoing struggles at Man United. He stays on the periphery of Gareth Southgate’s plans for the England national team and could see a fresh start as the right move to rekindle his form.
