Liverpool are reportedly set to hand highly-rated defender Neco Williams a new and improved five-year deal.
The 19-year-old made the breakthrough into the first team during the 2019-20 season, ultimately ending the campaign with 11 games in all competitions, including six in the English top-tier.
According to Goal, the Merseyside Reds want to reward the talented defender for his progress by handing him a deal until the summer of 2025, with the new contract expected to include an increase in wages.
As well as six outings in the league, Necro Williams featured on four occasions in the FA Cup and once in the EFL Cup games during the recent campaign.
Liverpool are also allegedly on the brink of finalising a deal for Olympiacos centre-back Kostas Tsimikas as the English giants prepare for next season.
Meanwhile, Rhian Brewster will reportedly be given the chance to make the breakthrough next campaign, having impressed on loan at Swansea City in the Championship.
Earlier today Liverpool have finalised the signing of Konstantinos Tsimikas from Olympiacos in a £11.9m deal and Greek defender has become the first signing for Jurgen Klopp’s side this summer, while hosts of top-class players also rumoured with a switch Anfield.
