Liverpool closely monitoring 21-year-old Premier League winger

Wolverhampton Wanderers are open to the prospect of cashing in on Pedro Neto in the summer transfer window. Liverpool and Tottenham are interested in the 21-year-old winger, having already submitted an enquiry to add him.

Neto joined Wolves from Braga in the summer of 2019 and has since progressed considerably to become a key figure for the Black Country outfit. Over the last two years, Pedro has constantly been on an upward trajectory and was enjoying a solid 2020/21 season before injury put paid to his participation in the season.

To date, Portugal international has played 79 games for Wolves while amassing a record of ten goals and 11 assists. At the same time, Pedro has also broken into the Portuguese national setup, which points towards the progress he has been making in the PL.

Suffice to say, the Portuguese winger has made an impression on some of the bigger teams in Europe, with Liverpool and Tottenham showing an interest in him. The Merseyside giants appear to be dipping their toes in the transfer market for a wide attacker this summer amid Xherdan Shaqiri’s uncertain future at Liverpool.

While Xherdan Shaqiri’s potential departure will beget a replacement, Liverpool also need enough cover for when Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah embark for the Africa Cup of Nations at the turn of the year, and so, Jarrod Bowen is one of several wingers to be linked with the Reds.

Neto is also a viable target for Liverpool, who has previously shown an interest in his Wolves teammates, Adama Traore. Tottenham, on the other hand, seem to be ready to part ways with Lucas Moura in the summer transfer window.
