Eduardo Camavinga is considering his future at Real Madrid and might be open to joining the Merseyside giants. Los Blancos will demand around €55m to part with France international. The 19-year-old midfielder had the world at his feet after becoming a pivotal figure for Stade Rennais despite still being in his teens.
The French midfielder even made his international debut aged only 17 and was unsurprisingly courted by some of the biggest teams in Europe, including Liverpool, Man United and Real Madrid. La Liga giants eventually won the battle to add the Frenchman, although he is not entirely happy with his situation at Santiago Bernabeu.
The former Stade Rennais midfielder has started just seven of the 26 matches played by Los Blancos since his arrival and has concerns about his place in the squad. Eduardo’s situation has not gone unnoticed, with the Reds considering signing the midfielder.
Liverpool hold a long-standing interest in Camavinga, having been in his pursuit before he joined the Spanish club. The Reds’ continued eagerness to sign the midfielder could be stemming from the advancing average age of the midfield unit at the German manager’s disposal.
Henderson, Alcantara and Milner are all on the wrong side of 30, with Milner in the twilight of his career. While Harvey Elliott has been fantastic since his promotion to the first-team squad as a full-time midfielder, the Reds might need to invest in a midfielder to pave a smooth succession plan for Milner and Henderson in particular.
