Liverpool and Man United are reportedly keeping tabs on the situation of Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri, who was attracted widespread interest. Morocco international has spent his entire professional career in Spain. Having started out at Malaga, Youssef had an eighteen-month stint at Leganes before he joined Sevilla in January last year.
Since signing for Julen Lopetegui’s side, En-Nesyri has developed into an important figure. The 23-year-old striker scored a couple of goals in the UEFA Europa League last campaign as Sevilla went on to win the tournament, along with four strikes in La Liga.
The Moroccan striker has upped his game this time out though, having already plundered 17 goals from 35 matches across all tournaments. Youssef’s development at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium has led to him attracting interest from a host of teams around Europe.
PL top-four hopefuls, West Ham United made an enquiry for him last month and are continuing to monitor him. Sevilla rebuffed the Hammers’ interest in the 23-year-old centre-forward and are now hoping to hand him a new contract with improved terms even though his current deal runs till 2025.
And, both Liverpool and Man United have asked to be kept updated about his situation at the La Liga outfit. Reds have a packed attacking unit as things stand. But the fact that Roberto Firmino’s goal-output has declined and Divock Origi is not a reliable cover could lead to them looking to add another centre-forward to their midst in the upcoming season.
Apart from West Ham, Liverpool and Man United, German giants Borussia Dortmund are also interested in En-Nesyri.
