Kylian Mbappe has emerged as a potential target for the Merseyside giants. The PSG superstar has been included in the list of five footballers who could be targeted as a long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian forward is currently one of the most in-form footballers in the world.
But it appears Liverpool is worried about his future at Anfield, with the forward’s current deal expiring in 2023. There has been no breakthrough when it comes to deal negotiations, even though club legends like Jamie Carragher has already urged the Reds to tie him down to a long term contract.
However, in case the Reds do end up losing Mohamed in the summer, they have drawn up a list of five possible replacements, a list that includes France international. This is not the first time Mbappe is being linked with a move to Liverpool either.
His electric pace, quality on the ball and predatory instincts in front of goal have made him an appealing target for the German tactician and his tactical philosophy that relies heavily on counter-attacks. Kylian does have a stellar record as well, having been involved in over 200 goals in 182 competitive games.
The 22-year-old winger also has 19 goals for his country and has already won the FIFA World Cup as well as the UEFA Nations League. His experience, coupled with his traits and winning mentality, thus make the French forward the perfect replacement for Mohamed Salah at Liverpool next campaign.
