Liverpool have reportedly identified Red Bull Salzburg forward Takumi Minamino as a potential transfer target this summer.
Either side of their Champions League meeting with the Austrian champions earlier this week, the Reds have been rumoured with each of Erling Haaland and Dominik Szoboszlai.
However, according to Calciomercato, the defending Champions League holders are also considering an approach for Minamino, who has manage to score during the game at Anfield on Wednesday night.
The 24-year-old has scored six goals in all competitions this campaign, taking his tally since moving to Salzburg back in 2015 to 61 goals from 184 games in all competitions.
The Japan international has less than two years left on his current deal, putting Salzburg in a position where they may have consider to cash in on a player.
Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have been told by a national newspaper to pursue Barcelona defender Sergio Roberto in the next transfer market to add depth to the squad.
The Reds could well be in the transfer window for a new full-back in January and one national newspaper thinks the Anfield outfit should look at Barcelona player Sergio Roberto.
