According to reports, Liverpool winger Ryan Kent is joining Bristol City on loan for the rest of the season.
Kent was expected to spend the entire 2017/18 campaign in Germany but with his chances limited both clubs accepted to terminate the deal during the January window.
Kent has been back practising at Melwood with Jurgen Klopp’s first-team squad, but the plan was always to loan him out again to boost his development.
Liverpool were overwhelmed with offers from Championship clubs, and Klopp has concluded that Bristol City is the perfect place for him.
Gary Johnson’s side have earned rave reviews for their manner of football en route to the semi-finals of the League Cup.
They conceded a narrow 2-1 defeat to Manchester City in the first leg on Tuesday night having already rapped out Watford, Stoke, Crystal Palace and Manchester United.
Crucially, Johnson has promised to give Kent regular action, and there will be monetary fines if he doesn’t feature in a set number of matches.
The 21-year-old Kent was given a new long-term contract by Liverpool back in August, shone in the Championship for Barnsley last season.
