Liverpool are favourites to land Norwich City ace Todd Cantwell in the summer ahead of Tottenham Hotspur, according to reports.
Todd Cantwell’s performances have been one of the few shining lights for Norwich amidst a weak season so far.
The Canaries find themselves rooted to the bottom of the table and are seven points off security, but that has not stopped Todd Cantwell’s attacking quality from shining through.
The Daily Mail reported last month that Spurs were watching the 21-year-old midfielder who is said to be valued at £30 million by Norwich City. It is suggested that Manchester City also hold an interest in the young prospect.
The Athletic reports that Liverpool have stepped up their interest in Todd Cantwell and have moved ahead of Spurs, Man City as well as Man United.
It is suggested that Jurgen Klopp is a big supporter of the midfielder and is keen to take him to Anfield in the summer after he impressed during his performance against the Merseyside Reds on Saturday.
Given the current going rate for young English talent, £30m is pretty decent value for money for someone with Todd Cantwell’s potential. Though, it seems like we are likely to face a massive battle on our hands if we want to land him, with so many clubs reported to be keen on him.
