Liverpool in bidding war for €30m-rated Bundesliga midfielder

Florian Neuhaus has popped up on the radar of the Merseyside giants once again. The Reds are prepared to rival Real Madrid in pursuit of the Borussia Monchengladbach over a move in next summer’s transfer window.

Germany international has come leaps and bounds since joining the Bundesliga giants from 1860 Munich in the summer of 2017. In the last four years, Neuhaus has established himself as a mainstay in midfield for Borussia Monchengladbach, with his fortunes skyrocketing upon his return from a loan spell at Fortuna Dusseldorf.

His rapid progress has also helped Florian in breaking into the German national side, while for Die Fohlen, he has played 127 games, chipping in with 17 goals and 20 assists in the process. The 24-year-old midfielder has invariably also emerged as a target for some of the biggest teams in Europe, with Liverpool and Real Madrid among his suitors.

The Reds were strongly linked with a move for the German midfielder in the summer before they turned down the opportunity to add him.

However, it seems like Liverpool have reignited their interest in the German midfielder, which makes sense, considering James Milner is in the twilight of his career while Thiago has struggled with injuries since arriving from Bayern Munich last year.

In addition, Oxlade-Chamberlain has struggled to impress in recent times, which has created uncertainty surrounding his future at the club. So, it is understandable why the Reds are keen on signing the German midfielder, who has been identified as a target for next summer.
