Eintracht Frankfurt playmaker Jesper Lindstrom has opened up on his Liverpool allegiance when quizzed about a possible £17m move to PL rivals Arsenal. This is not the first time Denmark international has been linked with a move to the London club.
Arsenal were reportedly keen on Jesper a year ago, before the Bundesliga giants snapped up a little-known forward from Brondby for a bargain fee of only £6m. And, after an excellent debut campaign in the Bundesliga, it should not come as much of a surprise to see Lindstrom back on the Gunners’ radar.
PL pacesetters could launch a bid for the 22-year-old playmaker in 2023. The Danish attacker is valued in the region of £17m. Lindstrom will have a difficult decision to make should the Gunners firm up their interest in winter. Then again, Arsenal are not his absolute favourite of the English-based superclubs.
Jesper provided an impressive nine assists and five goals in 2021/22, helping defeat the likes of Real Betis, Barcelona and West Ham United en route to the UEL final win against Rangers in Seville. “I like to play up front but can also play on the wings,” Lindstrom said.
“I have a strong shot from distance. And I like to link up play in the penalty area. It’s a huge confidence boost to hear that such a big club is watching me. But I honestly don’t know if it’s true. I’m a Liverpool man,” Jesper added.
