Liverpool keep a close eye on €25m-rated La Liga midfielder

Toni Kroos has become a crucial target for the Merseyside giants over a potential move in the summer transfer window. Liverpool have readied a €30m offer to prise the 32-year-old midfielder away from Real Madrid. Germany international will go down in history as one of the best midfielders of his generation.

The German midfielder has gone from strength to strength since joining Los Blancos from Bayern Munich in summer 2014 and has been integral to the La Liga giants’ success in the last seven and a half years. The German has provided a remarkable 83 assists in 340 games for Los Blancos to date, even chipping in with 25 goals along the way.

But after entering the final 18 months of his deal with Real Madrid, the former Bayern Munich midfielder faces an uncertain future at the Spanish club, which has captured the attention of the Reds. While Toni is well into his thirties and approaching the final phase of his storied career, he could be a solid short-term solution for the Reds.

Kroos will add a different dimension to Liverpool’s gameplay as they currently heavily rely on full-backs Alexander-Arnold and Robertson for creativity.

The German tactician largely utilises the three midfielders in his 4-3-3 setup as disruptors, especially when Thiago is unavailable. Toni would offer something different from midfield and could be a superb signing to Liverpool’s first-team squad, making him an appealing target for Jurgen Klopp heading into the summer transfer window.
