Liverpool keeping close tabs with 16-year-old promising midfielder

Liverpool have asked Birmingham to be kept up to date with the situation revolving around Jobe Bellingham. The younger brother of revered English talent, Jude Bellingham, the 16-year-old midfielder is set to become an in-demand prospect in the summer, with many hoping to lure him away from Birmingham, with Man City and Newcastle United also tailing him.

An attacking midfielder by trade, Jobe currently plies his trade with Birmingham’s Under-18 setup. But Bellingham has already played three games for the first team. During his time in the youth leagues, Jobe has raised eyebrows with his creative nous and the ability to make things happen in the final third.

While Bellingham might not be as mentally charged as his older brother just yet, many teams expect him to follow in his footsteps in the coming years, especially after he gains a bit more experience.

Birmingham City are determined not to lose him like they did with his older brother, who moved to Borussia Dortmund a couple of years ago and has since become one of the most promising youngsters in world football.

The report suggests the Championship outfit have given the Englishman a clear plan for his development and are willing to offer him a prominent role in the first team in the new campaign.

The English midfielder himself feels connected to the club, but with top teams around Europe, like Liverpool, Man City and Newcastle United, hounding for his services, it might turn out to be a challenging task for Birmingham.
