Liverpool keeping close tabs with 22-year-old Brazil international

Antony Matheus is seemingly becoming one of the most-sought after attacking prospects in Europe. Brazil international has become a target for almost every top European team, including Man United while the recently-minted Newcastle United are involved in the equation as well.

The aforementioned report indicates Liverpool have joined the battle, too, as they look to prize Matheus away from Ajax at the end of the campaign. It appears Antony has been identified as a top target for the German manager as he looks to find long-term replacements for the current stars, including Salah and Mane.

Sadio has recently become a transfer target for Bayern Munich, who are bracing themselves for the exit of Lewandowski. It has prompted Jurgen Klopp to enter the market for a new forward, with the 22-year-old winger proving to be an ideal option given his rapid rise to prominence at Eredivisie giants in recent years.

The Reds have already enjoyed immense success with the winter signing of Luis Diaz. The Colombian forward has instantly become a hit at Liverpool, showcasing dynamism, pace and trickery in the final third.

Liverpool are aiming for a similar level of success with the signing of the Brazilian winger, who has netted 22 goals and assisted 20 goals in 79 games for the Dutch club.

The Reds, though, face stiff competition from Newcastle and Man United in the pursuit of the South American attacker. Newcastle United are prepared to flex their financial muscle in the summer transfer window.
