Liverpool are interested in a deal to sign central midfielder Amine Harit from Schalke 04, according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.
The Morrocan international has netted five goals in 10 Bundesliga matches for Schalke 04 this season, and he’s apparently caught the eye of scouts from the reigning European champions.
According to the report, the central midfielder could join the likes of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Joel Matip and Naby Keita amongst the Merseyside Reds’ African contingent, and it’ll cost Jurgen Klopp’s side around £17million to make this situation a reality.
The report also shows that Jurgen Klopp’s close friendship with Schalke 04 manager David Wagner could help facilitate a transfer for the 22-year-old Moroccan ace.
If Adam Lallana leaves the Merseyside Reds in the summer, which is certainly a possibility as his deal runs down, then singing a young player to help boost the squad could be a quick transfer from Jurgen Klopp.
Amine Harit has already shown that he has an eye for goal and if the Merseyside Reds are looking for a goalscoring central midfield player, then the Morrocan player could be a decent option.
