Liverpool preparing bumper contract for 26-year-old first-team star

Sadio Mane will be offered a new long-term contract by Liverpool ahead of the next season.

The attacker’s teammates Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah have already committed their futures to the Merseyside club.

Jurgen Klopp is sure that the Senegalese will make it a treble of Liverpool stars to pen contract extensions.

Sadio Mane is under contract until 2021, having signed a five-year deal when he joined from Southampton for £34m back in 2016.

The Brazilian and Egyptian have both extended their stays at Anfield until 2023, with Sadio Mane expected to do the same, as the Telegraph reports.

The African striker has proved an excellent signing, supplying 33 goals and 17 assists in 73 matches.

Liverpool have been busy in the transfer market as they look to challenge rivals for Premier League superiority.

The absence of Philippe Coutinho after his £142 million sale to Barcelona has barely been noticed such was the front three’s form last season.

“You cannot replace Phil Coutinho with exactly the same kind of player,” said Klopp in response to the January deal.

“I think the biggest thing we did in the second half of last season was that we didn’t need to speak too much about Phil. That wasn’t clear in January.”
